Pretty small and preety fun is the general verdict on Soldeu. The village has some good clubs, bars and restaurants and it’s pretty cheap. Perfect for a bit of inexpensive boozy fun really.

Best for beginners who can ski right round the resort and in a few other easy to bus to spots a bit higher up. More advanced guys will need to get a bit further out of town but it’s linked to Grau Roig which is a bit more like it. The snow park is pretty basic but it has a halfpipe and all the things you really need to get going. Good little all round resort if you want to stay in your depth.

Neighbour, Pas de la Casa is ugly but definitely the place to party – it’s right on the border to take advantage of duty free generosities. Don’t stay here it’s ugly, but do stay in Soldeu, it’s got soul.

The big problem is the snow – it can be patchy – and though they have cannons they’re not always quite enough. But you can go and have a drink while you wait for them to do their thing.

Snow level

Can anyone give me a web address that would give the average snow level at Christmas in Andorra?

Have a look on the sites of the individual resorts - each one is going to have a different average depending on conditions and altitude.
