Cleanly linked slopes which are best suited to intermediate level skiers and consistent snow fall have made this resort popular nationally and it draws quite a crowd, especially at the weekend when there’s definitely a party atmosphere in the air. The skiing area of this resort encompasses two glaciers and a mountain over 3,000 metres, so there are steep runs if that is what you like. If you like longer runs the linking system is very effective and covers 150 kilometres worth of slopes. Cross country trails run out of Giggijoch. The mountain is known for its off piste opportunities.

The high alpine location means a longer ski season.

There isn’t as much choice for non skiers and the resort town itself isn’t as attractive as some but if you like to ski without queuing then this resort ticks all the boxes.
