Lots of red runs, so mid level talent rejoice and look like the pros of the field. Comfort is the other winner, heated pools and outdoor spas, comfort dining and a less demanding gaze – this resort sets itself up to be like a big country town with a breathtaking backyard. To top it off there’s always plenty of snow and plenty of space.

Grand Targhee is part of a national forest at the base of the Tetons – really spectacular country. The skiable area is spread over two mountain peaks and there’s lots of run space and choice from 3 mile cruiser runs to short, sharp and slightly demented vertical trips.(BR) Definitely family friendly you can do all those ‘other’ ski resort activities here, like snowCatting, skating, cross country and even paragliding as well as the classic pursuits of skiing, boarding and messing round in the terrain park. For a family styled resort the boarding options are worth mentioning: there’s two parks and good pockets of natural terrain, both powered and corduroy. In the summer the area is great for riding, again it family fun time.
