For a completely different skiing holiday that's not for the faint of heart, visit the Schweizerland region of eastern Greenland. 'Alpine Guides' offer a two week holiday tour doing expedition-style skiing though stunning arctic scenery. It requires a certain level of fitness and expertise but is definitely worth it for this sensational experience. Days are spent travelling through magical landscapes, negotiating sheer drops, and marvelling at the perfectly untouched peaks before being escorted to the Tasiilaq Mountain Hut by local Inuit hunters on dogsleds. A remote camp in the Karali Glacier basin is set up for part of the trip so you really feel completely at one with your environment. This is another world.
