Thanks to the superb snow conditions, long runs, and international reputation, the village of Palandoken is one of Turkey's best skiing resorts. The long winter season runs from October to May and they can get an impressive eight feet of snow. It is located on the northern slope of a mountain with the same name and lies at around 7,218 feet. The ski school at Palandoken is one of the best and the instructors are suited for a wide range of abilities. One of the biggest draws is the excellent range of ski-in/ski-out hotels located in the immediate vicinity. They offer comfortable accommodation and excellent après ski. The whole area is quite stunning and there are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing in the local historical town.
