Part of ski grounds that stretch to Les Arcs, the 11 villages that make up the La Plagne resort are some of the most suitable for families of the region. Because of the family atmosphere this is a resort best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers.

The towns and chalets run right up the mountains from 1250m to 2000m where you can ski right off your doorstep. They’re linked by road and sometimes lifts and sometimes runs, which can be quite a lot of fun. As well as being closer to the snow the higher towns are also the most pretty and traditional, while the lower slopes have the larger, cheaper resorts. Because of the quieter atmosphere there can be stray powder here long after some of the other resorts in the region have been skied out.
