Kuutsemäe Ski Resort

The beautiful resort of Kuutsemäe lies just a small distance from the Estonian winter capital of Otepää. Originally named Kuutse Hill, the place has been developed into a popular winter resort with its various slalom tracks being a draw to skiing enthusiasts. The biggest draw is the seemingly endless possibilities for cross-country skiing. These cross-country tracks are maintained and kept crisp by the resort's tractors. They are all marked and easily identifiable, meaning that you can enjoy an expedition without the need for a guide. The resort is host to the 'Tartu' marathon every year because of these excellent facilities. As well as ski and snowboard areas there is also the opportunity for other activities like snow tubing which is basically careening downhill on a big rubber sleigh...
