Famous for its bustling aprés-ski, Ischgl is a family-friendly resort, suitable for skiers of all abilities. The blue runs and nursery slopes provide for beginners, and whilst there is a lack of challenging pistes, advanced skiers can enjoy the off-piste, leaving the intermediates to ski the pistes on offer. the array of shops, sports and walking routes also ensure that non-skiers aren't left wanting. Ischgl also boasts an impressive lift system, as well as an impressive selection of good mountain restaurants. Despite the necessary expansion of the resort, Ischgl has managed to retain its Tirolean feel, and whilst nearby St. Anton overshadows Ischgl on the slopes, off the slopes there are few resorts that can match Ischgl's bustling nightlife.
