Alaska is often associated with outdoors adventure, but for those who are less inclined to strike out on foot or by kayak into the wilderness, railway trips offer a spectacular alternative. Scale the heights of mountains and dip into lush valleys without ever leaving the comfort of your railway car.

Roundtrip, one-way, day trip, or week-long excursion- the decision is up to you. Many trips include stops in historic towns and tours. Travel by rail is an excellent way to spend a holiday for those who wish to sit back, relax, and leave the mountain trekking for those with less good sense.
