If you weren't already hungry upon arrival, that all will change when you step into Viktualienmarkt, a famous outdoor German market. The sweet aroma alone will make your mouth water as you roam through the 140 stalls and shops offering cheese, poultry, fish, exotic fruit and flowers. This is Munich's one shop stop for life's freshest and most savory delicacies.

Get here: S-Bahn lines 1-8, U3 or U6, Bus 52 to Marienplatz, then walk towards Tal and turn right behind St. Peter's church
