Perhaps you can infer what type of area this is just from the name-- The Old City area of Vienna has many historic buildings and beautiful sights. There are narrow streets and striking architecture, and oh yes... Shopping too! A little less trendy but just as fabulous, the Old City has shops and boutiques classically filling up the rows of windows. Even small, plain, inconspicuous looking shops can be discovered as treasure chests filled with beautiful accessories and eclectic fashions in the Old City. The area is a mix of new and funky fashion and old, timeless shops. The Kober Toyshop, a great place to shop for the little ones, was founded in 1868, and Gunkel, established in 1786, has absolutely gorgeous linens and exclusive bed and bath accessories for the most plush sleepers. Firis is a trendy boutique with artsy and fun t-shirts, hats and sweaters by top designers. Designer Susanne Katz's store of her own name showcases gorgeous semiprecious stones and pearls in stunning jewelry pieces as well as exclusive purses. There are also embroidery, shoe, candy and wine shops. Shop for: Linens, women's vintage clothing Cafe Stop: Cafe Prückl Get here: Tram #1 or #2
