For great deals on good quality leather, check out the markets of San Lorenzo. Here you can go from stall to stall, spying various goods such as jackets, handbags, luggage, belts and wallets. It's also a great place to pick up gifts and souvenirs before heading back home. There are great vintage jewelry and clothing stalls splattered between the leather, as well as vendors with cashmere lined gloves and Pashmina scarves, each for about 20 Euro. Freshly made wines are delicious, and cheap- at only 4 or 5 Euro per bottle.
Like many markets, you'll always get a better price if you try to bargain with the vendor- sometimes they'll reduce the price by more than half the original cost! Some of the leather is of better quality than the rest so it is important to look around before making any purchases.

Cafe Stop: Next to the market is the indoor building Mercato Central, featuring vendors with a delicious array of meats, cheeses, bread and veggies
