The Passeig de Gracia is one of the world's most elegant avenues. Taking a walk past the impressive architecture, upscale boutiques, and tree-lined sidewalks is a great way to feel the true essence of Barcelona. Here you will find all the high-fashion shops with their alluring window displays, such as Chanel, Bvlgari, Armani and Dolce and Gabbana. The well-known Spanish designer Adolfo Dominguez has a shop here too- featuring his elegant designs in rich colors for both men and women.

There are also great bookstores splattered around and a fabulous interiors shop called BD Edicions de Disseny, which is housed in a gorgeous mansion with a wide range of stunning, but expensive furniture in modernista and contemporary designs. The Bulevard des Antiquaris is great for antique lovers. The arcade has more than 70 shops filled with eclectic antique things like porcelain dolls, paintings, jewelry and old toys.
