Prime shopping opportunities rise up from the ground in Kowloon Whatever it is you fancy- bargain shopping, designer labels, street markets, or computer equipment, this area of Hong Kong has got you covered. Granville Road is the place to go if you are looking for a discount. Factory outlets line the street offering shoppers significant savings. There are also a number of shoe, sports and home décor shops as well as shops featuring local designers.

Harbor City, the area's largest shopping center, offers picturesque views of Tsim Sha Tsui's waterfront and has fabulous retail and entertainment venues. Of the 700 shops, you'll find fashionable stuff for women, men, children, your house, your dog and your neighbor too. Notable shops include the flagship store of Lane Crawford and FACESS, a heaven for women who love body products and cosmetics.

Avoid tourist shopping traps

If you are worried about getting ripped off in Hong Kong, take a look at ShopCite (www.shopcite.com) to check prices of branded electronic goods. They even have a mobile phone version so you can check anytime and anywhere while you are there. It was a great help in my search for a new camera.
