To truly discover the character of Boston, all you have to do is come to Faneuil Hall. Two parallel, pedestrian only streets are home to 100 different shops and cart vendors that offer everything from your typical chains like Gap, Crabtree & Evelyn, and Victoria's Secret to small stalls with Boston souvenirs, Red Sox hats, and warm knit gloves and hats. Its also home to Bull Market- the world's first “fleet” of 43 wholly unique pushcarts featuring New England artisans and their fabulous wares.

Especially on weekends, you'd have to be hard pressed not to stop at one of the many street performers doing tricks or comedy on the street as circles of children and adults gather around to see the commotion. And when you've worked up an appetite, your food choices are endless. Seventeen pubs and restaurants are scattered around Faneuil Hall, including the famous Cheers bar. If everyone in your group can't agree on one type of food to eat, that's fine too. The Quincy Market Colonnade is one of the world's most visited (and high-end) food halls, serving up all of Boston's favorites like mouth-watering lobster rolls, New England clam chowder and sausage grinders with peppers and onions.
