Regularly gracing the lists of the most beautiful beaches in the world, this half moon of soft, white sand is often referred to as Spain’s own “Caribbean Beach”. Open only to the public during the summer season, the beach is part of an uninhabited, glimmering national park just off the north western coast, near to the city of Vigo. White and yellow daisies smother the ground stretching beyond the sand, as eucalyptus and tall pine trees shade its edges. Once a pirate’s haunt, you can only access Las Islas Cies by boat, a distant cry from other Mediterranean sandy destinations. Instead of returning to your hotel after a day’s snorkeling and sun worshiping, camp out in the idyllic site provided.
