If you have always wanted to sail an America’s Cup Yacht but you’ve not yet managed to become either an elite sailor or wealthy sponsor you can get your first taste of it on Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour. Two yachts from the 1995 New Zealand team, the NZL 40 and the NZL 41 are now taken out daily on to the harbour with crews made up of professional and amateur sailors.
While on the harbour you will have the choice of either getting involved by working the grinders, assisting with the sails or even taking the helm or you can relax and enjoy the sea spray, the salt air and the graceful cut of the yachts on the water.
