Listed under Road Trips in Geelong West, Australia.
Accepted as one of the world’s outstanding scenic routes, this trip really requires a week to experience its intricate beauty but can be experienced in a few hours. Coast-hugging drives really ought be taken in between days of surfing, picnics, swimming, fishing and sightseeing. There are fascinating rock formations, particularly opposite Port Campbell National Park – Loch Ard Gorge and London Arch, for example, which stand firm(ish) in the waves, out of reach from the deep cliffs, mostly limestone pillars perpetually eroded by waves from Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. The Park itself offers hills, forests, walks and even waterfalls.
