This twisty, curvy road is the ultimate driving experience. Making up a leg of Highway 99, Sea to Sky Highway is built on a cliff parallel to Howe Sound, and is indubitably one of the most scenic drives in the world. There are constant views of snow-capped peaks, alpine lakes and woodland, waterfalls and glaciers. The real danger of avalanches and landslides is lessening as the years and structural work progress, which is wonderful for such a drive that so well demonstrates the natural beauty of the region. Even photography cannot do this drive justice – it only captures an instant.
