Café Pushkin opened its doors less than four years ago, fast earning the reputation among locals and on the international scene as the finest restaurant in Moscow. “High ceilings, a resident harpist and row upon row of leather-bound books provide a setting of pre-revolutionary opulence for an excellent, Russian-accented menu“(times online.co.uk). There are two main areas: a “sophisticated cafe on the first floor that's open 24 hours”(moscow-life.com) and the main attraction, the “restaurant on the so-called ‘library’ level” (moscow-life.com). Each of the three floors presents a different atmosphere with “a cherrywood bar and well-lit cafe on the first floor, a more formal dining room on the second, and a decadent and breezy summer cafe on the top” (travel.nytimes.com).

The restaurant boasts a hearty but high-priced menu and an impressive selection of vodkas.
