The Berkley Springs State park is a great place for a relaxing vacation. The spas in the park are a great visit, seeing as they are believed to have restorative powers.

Both Native People and George Washington are said to have visited these springs. The springs here are at a constant temperature of about 74 degrees and are completely natural. There are two public bathhouses for visitors to use as well as a drinking fountain at the Gentlemen's Spring House.

The Roman Bathhouse is the oldest public building in the park and was built in 1784 and includes nine seperate bathing chambers with water heated to 102 degrees. The baths are open year round daily. The spa also has a massage center for visitors as well.

Appointments should be made ahead of time to ensure that you get a spot. Prices for baths and massages range anywhere from $10-$95 depending on time, age and what activity.
