Listed under Mountain Ranges in Pennsylvania, United States.
"The Poconos" are a great place to visit in both warm and cool weather. I would recommend going if you enjoy activities such as skiing, hiking, swimming, camping or fishing/boating. The Poconos still contain many forests which are great for outdoor activities.
There are also many skiing resorts in the area such as Camelback, Shawnee Mountain and Big Boulder. The area is popular with tourists from the East Coast and sees many different visitors year round. The area is filled with non-ski resorts such as Great Wolf, Tannersville, and Mount Airy Casino and Hotel, Swiftwater.
The area is popular amongst families with children, seeing as they can either bring them skiing/snowboarding or take them to a resort in the summer.
Visit around the Mount Pocono for skiing and around the Stroudsburg area for camping.
