Zongoene Lodge has been built at the mouth of the Limpopo river, 140 km north along the coast from Maputo, where the sound of the Indian Ocean pounds against the shoreline on the other side of the estuary. It caters primarily for sports fishing but offers other activities, and follows the usual pattern for southern African lodges; a central bar/restaurant area surrounded by very comfortable cabins among palm trees. There is a swimming pool to lounge around for non sailors.

The staff are very friendly, the lodge is well managed, the food and wine excellent, and it's overall good value for money. By car you would need a 4x4 as the road to the lodge is just beach sand. I am told that the fishing here, and for that matter anywhere up the Mozambique coast, is really exceptional.

Good morning. Please could you tell me if you have availability for two adults on a last minute holiday for December, dates are flexable? If so what are the rates etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards Vanessa (vanessa@sjh.co.za)
