Southern Utah is home to the best outdoor adventures and desert landscapes. The mighty Colorado River flows through Moab and converges with the Green River, creating a great confluence of whitewater action. The popular Cataract Canyon and Westwater Canyon are both located in Southern Utah. Take a multi-day trip down the Colorado River for a truly unique experience. Trips on these stretches are often run with larger “j-rig” style pontoon boats that hold around 15 people. Whitewater in this region is similar in style to the Grand Canyon, with the river rapids being more like large waves. These locations run trips year-round. The best time to raft Cataract and Westwater Canyons are during the early spring months, when the water level is high.
