470 Class World Championships

The Delta Lloyd 470 Class World Championships for Men and Women takes place in The Hague in July. The 470 is the class of boat that's going to be used for the Men’s Two Person Dinghy and Women’s Two Person Dinghy events at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

About 360 athletes and aspiring athletes from about 40 nations, 6 continents, will come to The Hague to participate in the separate men’s and women’s events.

The sea side of The Hague is a popular Summer resort with a huge beach, a boulevard with shopping malls, bars and restaurants, and a pier with tourist attractions. Besides visitors enjoying the sun, the beach is a very popular place for wave, wind- and kitesurfers.

There will be high sports and leisure activity this Summer at the sea side of The Hague. Those who want to relax during the day, can lose their energy in the rich night life.
