The Stetson brand is a worldwide icon, and represents many things to many people. One thing is certain, though: a Stetson hat is an item infused with tradition and recognised for its quality. The first one was made by John B. Stetson in 1865, and his one-roomed company has evolved into the best-known hat maker in the world. Based in Garland, Texas, the company produces several hundred different styles of hat, made with genuine beaver fur. There is a woven straw 'Rising Star', with its brim turned up at the sides and printed with black speed-burns to match the Stetson-branded, star-fronted crown, a white felt 'El Presidente' and a romantic, evocative classic range, to name a few.
