Legends always flit about the perfume world of small, independent, natural scent manufacturers in charming, pastoral towns who supply their exquisite products to large designer brand names, but will sell inexpensively to those in the know. Galimard is based on the French Riviera in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, which is swept in one of nature’s most glorious aromas every August during the famous annual jasmine harvest festival. Other deeply scented flowers and plants such as lavender, orange and lemon flower, thyme and roses have been grown and distilled for perfume at Grasse since the 18th Century, and Jean de Galimard started his business there in 1747, supplying scent to the king himself.

Funel Le Parfumeur de la cote d'azur

I have a question about very old perfume I found. I can't find any information on the net about it so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you can help. The box that these mini vials of perfume come in reads "Funel Le Parfumeur de la cote d'azur Masion Fondee en 1884 Paris Cannes Le Cannet" the vials say the same but also contain "bouquet" and then a number from 1 -10. There are ten vials in all some full some empty. I thank you in advance for your help. When I did a search with the box information a link led me to this site.
