This lake looks like the setting for some kind of fairytale. Maybe Odette from Swan Lake will sail off the waters in the evening, and arrive on the lake's island and visit the church hoping to meet her love, or else the Rapunzel will let her hair down from the churches tower...

This is a glacial lake, backed by the Julian Alps, and calm enough so that you can see the Alps reflected in the waters. The island in the middle of the lake is Slovenia's only natural island, which makes it that much more romantic. As well as the church the island also has a castle.

This is spot is so beautiful it's become one of Slovenia's favourite tourist attractions.
