Located in the heart of “Steinbeck Country,” the National Steinbeck Center honors famed American author John Steinbeck. The exhibition hall features galleries of artifacts, photographs, film clips and interactive exhibits related to the prized writer’s life. Guests get a glimpse of the influences on his life and written works. Special themed theaters showcase novels East of Eden, Cannery Row, Of Mice and Men, Grapes of Wrath and more.

The museum is popular with school groups and Steinbeck fans. A nonprofit, National Steinbeck Center prides itself on being a resource to educators and scholars alike.

The center also houses the Rabobank Agricultural Museum which explores the region’s agriculture industry and tracks foods from field to fork. Throughout the year art and culture exhibits rotate through the center as well.
