Living in Perth for a few years it’s hard not to fall in love with the place. The slow pace wafts in on the sunny sea breezes, the food and drink are good and the cultural life inventive. One of my best Perth memories is of balmy evenings spent in Kings Park, the park on the hill in the city’s centre. As well as the city you can also see the Swan river and the suburbs sprawl flatly away. Kings is a big park, some of it manicured, some of it bush land. A road runs though it, and remains open late so it's quite a romantic spot to bring your paramour to enjoy a picnic watching one of Perth's spectacular sunsets.
