Public parks are a great resource that are often taken for granted. Hype Park, Central Park, the Tuilleries, the English Gardens: these are the spaces that so often define great cities as much as the buildings that surround them.

Reverand Horace Bushnell could see the importance of such spaces in industrial cities. He led the development of Bushell Park, the first publicly financed public park in America. Visitors will enjoy riding the whimsical carousel, touring the monuments, and taking a self-guided tree walk, highlighting the wide variety of foliage in the park.
