These 80 metres of pale, almost glitteringly gold sand lined on one side by bright turquoise waters and on the other by the kind of tropical jungle you’d like to be stranded by with your dream date, are some of the most beautiful in all of the Maldives. The island is small and narrow but the beach is long, so that means only a small resort but a lot of sand – plenty for privacy as well as indulging in watersports – and this island is also close to some of the country’s best diving spots.
