Pelican City: Prince Albert National Park

Listed under Wildlife in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Pelicans are one of the world's largest bird species and one of the most interesting to watch. The sight of them working in groups to herd fish into the shallows and then scooping them up in their expandable bills is one of the main attractions of the Prince Albert National Park, home to over 15,000 pelicans.

While the pelicans have chased most other animals off their lake and island, the aspen forests and prairie are home to bears (mostly Black Bears), lynx, moose, caribou, elk, fox, beavers and around 230 other species of bird.
