Dee the Mammoth resides here at the Tate Geological museum. This 11,600 year old mammoth lived in the ice age and was 65-70 years old when he died. He is special due to the completeness of the skeleton found and his age. At this museum you can see the skeleton of Dee on display and read about his life.
Also in the museum are a dinosaur lab, where kids can discover about dinosaurs on their own, the Hall of Minerals and animals from the Mesozoic time period. Come here to discover animals from long ago that were found in North America in time periods that we can not even imagine. Also explore the gift shop while you are here.
