Zion National Park is known as Utah’s first designated one in 1919. The park is located in Springdale, Utah and the park’s cliffs tower around the city. The area has a temperate climate and experiences 300+ days of sunshine throughout the year.

The town of Springfield itself has many attractions such as lodgings, restaurants, art galleries and unique shops. Recreational activities in the area include hiking, biking, horseback riding and other events.

Visiting the Zion National Park makes for a great vacation because there is so much to do in the area. Some notable formations in the park include the Kolob Canyons, the Three Patriarchs and Zion Canyon. The park is open all year round with differing times for the visitor center. People lived in this area as many as 8,000 years ago.
