In Malay this name translates to National Park National Park – when it was created in 1938 it was called the George V National Park. The park is large – it covers area in three different states – and includes multiple attractions, Gunung than, the highest peak in Malaysia, the Gua Telinga cave system and a jungle canopy walk. One of the main reasons for the park's creation is the need to protect all the rare animals who live here, you've got your Sumatran Rhino, Asian Elephant and Sumatran Tiger.

You don't need a guide to get around the park, there are plenty of walking trails and tracks. One of the nicest ways to get into the park is by boat – it's a two hour trip but it's scenic and pretty and leaves from Kuala Tembling, but it is possible to drive in.
