The Sainte Anne Marine National Park's edge is only about five kilometres off the coast of Victoria, the capital city of the Seychelles. It does have an above water level presence as well, totally surrounding Cerf, Ste Anne, Moyenne, Beacon, Long Island and Round Island – the whole area is about four and a half kilometres square. Cerf is the main base for people exploring this really incredible underwater world, it's an island retreat serviced by the main land, and a great places for diving enthusiasts, but you can also book accommodation on Ste Anne. If you're not staying on either of those islands it's easy enough to book a day trip out in a boat, or even better a glass bottomed boat. The north side of Cerf has some of the best diving, you might even run into a giant turtle or a clown fish round this bit of reef.

As well as the colourful corals, ribbons of reef and reef inhabitants, the Ste Anne Marine Park also has one of the largest area of seagrass meadow in the Seychelles.
