There is a lot more to Grand Canyon National Park than the canyon itself. Experience panoramic views of tinted desert landscapes, staggering geologic formations, and waterfalls formed from the Colorado River. Grand Canyon National Park is also an area of ancient history. Visit the Tusayan Museum and see archeological remains dating back thousands of years.

Although I’ve heard people proclaim on more than one occasion, “It’s just a big hole in the ground!” when referring to the Grand Canyon, they usually have not experienced the utter vastness and full impact of the geographic wonder.

Dipping one mile into the earth, the Canyon offers more opportunities than just taking obligatory tourist photos. Hiking, horse (or popularly, mule) riding, biking, bus tours, scenic drives: all are opportunities for exploration provided by the canyon. It’s equally impressive, however, to take a peaceful moment to consider the power and wonder of nature and how this World Heritage Site was created.

The name Grand Canyon National Park, is truly deserved by such a grand chasm and awe inspiring view. The rocks of the Colorado Plateau have taken millennia to carve out this gift that surpasses and outdoes the expectations of many. It’s absolutely beautiful and such a vast sight, that makes us bow our head in front of it, and humbles us. The timelessness of the Grand Canyon National Park shows us our short existence in front of its gift of its age’s old beauty. It's a vast space with plenty of room to hike the trails, explore on the roads, float in currents of tumultuous Colorado River or when we need solace there it is away from hectic lives it's a good place to find solitude, peace and quaintness.
