Also known as Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, this inner-city nature reserve claims 865 acres of land along the Rio de la Plata riverbank, which runs through Puerto Madero. Some of the land has been reclaimed, but isn't totally watertight, hence the large ponds and pools that now cover the landscape, but these have been put to good use by local, and not so local birds, who've settled in the area, making it a popular birdwatching destination.

The reserve is also popular for strolling, a leisurely swim, and hanging out at the cafes and bars that line it's edges and have done so since the area's popularity as a swimming baths in the 1920s.
