Bryce Canyon National Park is named after Ebenezer Bryce, who settled in the area in 1875. People in the area started referring to the large natural amphitheater as “Bryce’s Canyon”. The climate in this region can range from 80 in the daytime and 40 in the night just during the summer.

The winter months provide an average of 95 inches of snow, so cross country skiing and snowshoeing is perfect. Some of the animals in the area are bobcats, black bears, mule dear, elk, prairie dogs, California Condor and many more. There are many other activities at Bryce Canyon including hiking and star gazing at as many as 7000 stars in the night sky.
