The first Spirit of Burgas, on the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria, got going in August 2008 hosting Asian Dub Foundation, Groove Armada, The Sisters of Mercy on a few stages and tent venues. It attracted some good, international DJs as well. The idyllic, sunny, sandy surrounds might have had something to do with it.
