Eurockéennes de Belfort could be the largest music festival in France.  If it's not then with around 100,000 people attending it over the  three days, it's one of the largest.  The festival happens in July, on a peninsular on the Malsaucy lake, about ten kilometres from Belfort, which is a pretty picturesque spot, and a good place to camp – which a lot of people do in the campsite about three kilometres from the stages and main enclosure.  The line up is a rocky/ poppy mix – different types of music happening on different stages, as with most festivals.

For the price there are usually some pretty big names on the bill.

There's no lower age limit.

Or dress code.

And the festival opens late and closes at about 3AM each night/ morning, which is different from most festivals but one of the perks of the spot.  There's a bus shuttle service to take people between the stages and the campsite.
