Croatia's Dalmatian Coast is a nice place to visit in the summer, though it might be a bit of a surprise to come across one of Europe's largest dance festivals on an otherwise fairly quiet pocket of coast – but no less than seven major dance festivals are held here each year. The Electric Elephant is one of these, run by a crew out of Manchester called Electric Chair who promise 'Balearic spaced out beach parties, blissed out acoustic-folk psychedelia on the moonlight stage' and a club, a dance terrace and a big old boat which goes out twice a day for a floating party feel.
The fishing village where the festival is held is small and old, 900 years old, and it's a good spot for National Parks, beaches and sailing, but not so good a spot for cash machines etc..
