The Cluny Museum in Paris is set in an old Gothic townhouse. The collection of the museum began with the mansion's owner Alexandre du Sommerard in the 1800s. Now the Cluny is known for its beautiful collection of tapestries, stained glass, and other every day articles from the medieval period. The museum is most known for its display of the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry which is one of the most famous medieval tapestries in the world. A highlight is the Chapel, the museums most famous room. This contains more tapestries and astounding architecture. The Cluny Museum is an essential collection of medieval art.
