The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is widely regarded as the best of its kind in the world. There are some 150,000 works ranging from architecture and design to painting and sculpture, film, and media. Significant highlights include paintings by van Gogh, Picasso, Dali, Gauguin, Monet, Matisse, Pollock, Warhol, Kahlo and more; the collections of design, film and art photography are also strong points.

Founded in 1929, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) was designed to celebrate the world's modern art. Located in mid-town Manhatten in New York City, MoMA's contemporary outlook fits right into New York's upbeat lifestyle. MoMA contains over 150,000 works of modern art, 22,000 films, 4 million film stills, and MoMA's library is an archive for research. Works by Picasso, Van Gogh, and Kitaj are among the many artists MoMA displays. MoMA is not only a museum to display art but it is also geared toward educating people about modern art. Many people take part in the activities for parents, students, and teachers which involves many people in actively learning about modern art. MoMA's research facilities are available for use and it publishes more than any other art facility.
