The Chateau de Chantilly is a chateau in Chantilly, France. As a part of this chateau there is the Musee Conde, a magnificant art museum with historical French paintings and manuscripts. These were collected by Henri d'Orléans, Duc d'Aumale, one of the residents of Chateau de Chantilly. After his death in the late 1890s, the Musee Conde was opened to show his collection. Among those now displayed is the famous illuminated book of hours - the 'Les Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry' by the Limbourg Brothers and Jean Colombe. The Chateau de Chantilly and the Musee Conde are both magnificent architectural masterpieces in their own right.
