Recognized world wide for its own architectural design, the Kimbell Art Museum is an exclusive museum with works ranging from the antiquity to the 20th century. Famed American architect Louis I. Kahn designed the building, which many regard as a premier architectural achievement of the modern era. Kahn spared no attention to detail, especially in regard to natural light and subtleties. Of the fewer than 350 works, the collection boasts pieces by Fra Angelico, Caravaggio, Cezanne and Matisse. The international pieces come from Egypt, Greece, Rome, Asia, Africa and more.
To take complete advantage of the beautiful building, guests may dine in the buffet restaurant which serves famous homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, quiche and desserts.
