The Frick is housed in an elegant Beaux Arts mansion built for the wealthy industrialist, Henry Clay Frick, in 1913. The building provides a suitably grand setting for displays of painting and drawing (particularly the Renaissance masterpieces) sculpture and decorative arts (including Limoges enamels, Oriental rugs, Chinese and French porcelain).
