Both the Freer Gallery of Art and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery are the Smithsonian's prized museums of Asian Art. The Freer Gallery of Art is located on the National Mall's south side in Washington DC.

This museum contains about 25,000 objects and spans over 6,000 years. The gallery is named after it's founder Charles Lang Free who was a railroad-car manufacturer who donated his collection to the US and donations to construct a building for their showcasing.

The Freer building has an elegant architectural design and even contains a beautiful courtyard that used to be the home to peacocks in the early days of the building.
