Named for the man who collected these 9,000 odd works of art, the Burrell Collection is shown in a very modern building which looks like it’s been built into a hill in a Glasgow suburb. Collected over a 50 year period the works are from a variety of artists and styles and include paintings, medieval art, tapestries, furniture, sculptures, Islamic art and stained glass. Some of the most famous artists in the collection are Degas, Cézanne, Epstein and Rodin.
